Hello and Welcome to MY BLOG!!!!
This is very exciting as I love to both write and take photos...so a blog is naturally a great fit for my business!
I promise to update as often as I can... and keep this blog fresh and dynamic for you to enjoy!
Maybe it's because I think of myself as perpetually 17.... but I can truly relate to these fantastic teenage model/actors that I am so fortunate to photograph. Photographing Zach the other day was a blast! And I have to admit, I was slightly nervous.... here's a teenage boy with a professional photographer dad.... uh...The stakes were slightly high! I was so impressed with Zach's professionalism and preparedness. He brought 5 outfits just as we requested and had styled them all himself! Cool beenies, scarves, jackets, layers.... Zach epitomizes cool! We had a blast and as usual I never wanted to stop doing what I love....
Here is my favorite...
First shot of our session! Love it!
Of course, no photoshoot is ever complete without Ginger-Roo jumping in for her close-up!
The best part about photographing the amazing Chef Vargas at Scarpetta last week was tasting all of his delicious creations! Mmmmm... my favorite is buratta with grilled peaches.... heavenly!
Classic Hollywood at it's finest! This was such a cool shoot - photographing William the barber and owner of Gornik & Drucker in the Montage Hotel.
This is a historic salon as so many celebrities through the years have enjoyed a shave and a trim... Bugsy Malone, Ronald Reagan and all the guys from "Entourage" - to name a few.... and William could not have been more welcoming and lovely to photograph!
Marcos Cohen rocks! He was such a joy to photograph, and we had so much fun! He showed up so well prepared and ready for action! This was his first shot! With so many more strong moments to follow.... I always love when we could end the shoot in 5 minutes - but instead go for 1 1/2 hours capturing more and more great images along the way! Thank you, Marcos!
OK, so one of the most challenging of all shoots for me is updating my own daughter's headshots. I find it much easier to photograph anyone else.... in the entire world! Fiona is a true diva to say the least.... but with enormous effort, I did manage to get a few good ones! The first one thrills me because her smile is so real! (and her face is still clean!) Yes, she does have (perpetual) dirt on her face here.... no problem - Mom can easily retouch that away.... except that the agent did not select this photo... so why bother? She still looks beautiful to me!
Here, the little darling is showing her more serious side....
Another favorite... This was toward the end and we were just relaxing and having fun! Aaahhh, maybe that is the key for next time! I will keep trying!
